Website design and redesign for small businesses

Your website should explain what you do and make the next step clear. Kimo Studio scopes and builds business websites for small companies and independent professionals, whether you need a first site or a clearer version of an existing one. Start with the pages, information and enquiry route your visitors actually need, rather than a long feature list.

Describe my website project

A first website, a focused landing page or a redesign

Give visitors a clear explanation of your services, useful answers and an obvious way to contact you. This service is for business owners who need those essentials on a first website or want to improve an existing one.

For an existing site, share its public URL and describe what should stay. For a first site, explain your activity, the services you want to present and the action you want a visitor to take. We use that brief to define the pages and content together.

  • A compact business website that presents your activity and services.
  • A focused landing page for an existing offer.
  • A CMS-based site where editing requirements justify it, subject to the agreed scope.

Define the pages and contact path before building

We agree the page structure, available content, responsive behaviour and enquiry path in writing. A contact form is not a sales process by itself: its destination, required information and responsibility for replies need to be clear.

Tell us which text, images and brand assets you can supply and which content needs work. Content preparation, editing tools, hosting, third-party services, ownership and handover belong in the scope, not in an assumed all-inclusive package.

  • List the pages, their purpose and the information each needs.
  • Identify the main visitor action and where an enquiry goes.
  • Agree how the pages, navigation and form behaviour will be checked before release.

From your brief to pages you can review

Describe your project in writing. Kimo reviews the activity, available content and visitor journey, then clarifies the brief by email. You can start without arranging an initial call.

The proposal defines the pages to build, what you provide and how acceptance will be checked. The agreed build then moves through page and navigation checks, review of the enquiry path and a handover covering ownership, documentation and release responsibilities.

A fictional example of a useful brief

Illustrative scenario, not a client reference: an independent service business wants visitors to understand two services and send a relevant enquiry. A useful brief lists those services, the questions visitors need answered and who will receive the message. The first step is agreeing that path, not adding a booking system or shop without a need.

What this does not promise

A new website does not guarantee traffic, Google rankings, enquiries or sales. Advertising, ongoing SEO services, e-commerce, booking tools and custom integrations are not automatically included. Features are considered only when their purpose and feasibility are clear.

Price and timing depend on the agreed scope, content, dependencies and testing. No paid work begins without written scope and agreement. Do not send passwords or confidential records in your first message.

Before you describe your website project

Can you work from my existing website?

Share the public URL and explain what is useful, unclear or missing. The review determines whether to preserve, revise or replace parts of it. A full rebuild is not assumed.

Do I need an automation project as well?

No. A website can be scoped separately. If the problem starts after an enquiry arrives, describe that separately so we can distinguish the contact page from the internal follow-up process.

Is there a fixed package price or delivery date?

There is no fixed price or deadline on this page. Scope, costs, dependencies, timing and any separate support are agreed in writing before work begins.

Describe the website you need

In the existing Contact form, use the current-process field to describe your activity and existing site, if any. Use the objective field for what visitors should understand or do. Mention available content and constraints; a public URL is enough to start, without account access.
